Comfort and fit
It’s important that your ring feels right for you. Some people prefer a good snug fit, others prefer a looser fitting ring.
You typically need a half or a full size smaller for rings less than 4mm in width. Opt for at least a full size larger for rings more than 5mm in width.
Some people have slim fingers with bigger knuckles, and it’s a balance between finding a ring you can fit over your knuckle and one that’s comfortable to wear.
Average ring sizes
Jimmy Jules rings are all sized using the standard British system, using the letters A – Z. An average finger size for a woman is an M; for a man it’s an S.
If you are unsure of your ring size, we can provide a free rinky dinky ring sizing belt. This comes with a ring sizing guide to help you get a little closer to the perfect fit.
Just email us, providing us with your name and address details and we will send it out to you the same day using 1st Class post.
Please note this should only be used as a guide, and for an accurate measurement you should pop into your local jewellers, particularly for surprise designer engagement rings!
Getting stuck
If you manage to squeeze a ring on that’s just too tight, try not to panic, as a little hand cream will usually do the trick. Hold your skin below the knuckle and slowly slide the ring off.
Changing finger sizes
Your finger size will change in line with your body temperature, which can be affected by the weather, the time of the month, how much manual work you do, and how many cookies you have eaten!
If you are right handed then it’s likely that you will need a whole size bigger than the same finger on your left hand. When sizing your finger, chose a time when your hands are not too hot or too cold!
Re-sizing rings
If you are in love with your Jimmy Jules ring and it just doesn’t fit then in most cases a ring can be exchanged for a different size. If we don’t have your size in stock, some rings can be easily resized up or down a couple of sizes for a small fee.
